The installation of steering wheel, knuckle and front axle of a car has a certain relative position. This installation with a certain relative position is called steering wheel alignment, also known as front wheel alignment. Front wheel alignment includes kingpin caster (angle), kingpin inclination (angle), front wheel camber (angle) and front wheel toe in. This is the relative position between the two front steering wheels and the two rear wheels and the rear axle, called rear wheel alignment. Rear wheel alignment includes wheel camber (angle) and toe in of each rear wheel. In this way, the front wheel alignment and the rear wheel alignment are collectively called four-wheel alignment.
